James started J. Mitchell in 2001 with a commitment to helping people with their personal finances. He graduated from Stanford University in 1989 and completed his graduate work at Boston University in 1992. Mr. Mitchell professional designations include Series 6, 7, 24, 53 from FINRA. James is a regular contributor to The Wall Street Journal and hosts his weekly radio program, "Getting the Most from Your Money."
James and his wife of 26 years live in San Diego. He is the proud father of three grown children, and enjoys sailing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
